About Kaz

The only thing sharper than Kaz’s suit, is his legal mind. Although he may very well be the best dressed attorney we’ve ever met, his most impressive quality is his smart, caring, down-to-earth attitude. He has a special talent for understanding his client’s concerns. He routinely calls them ahead of their trial to ensure that they feel comfortable and prepared.

We admire Kaz’s dedication to family, friends, and his clients. He has worked hard to get where he is and is proud to be following in his father’s (Mr. Collier Espy) footsteps.

It’s rumored that Kaz is the absolute biggest fan of Pearl Jam, and that his love for their music is rivaled only by the band members themselves. We’ve also been told that he enjoys watching college football and admits to playing a less than stellar round of golf.

Although we don’t think his golf score matters too much when you consider his long list of other accomplishments. As a two-time published author, experienced attorney, and a man wise beyond his years, we can’t imagine this firm without him.

More about Kaz

I feel that preserving art and culture for future generations is so critical. That’s why my time on the Board of Directors for the Wiregrass Museum of Art has been so fulfilling for me personally.

The museum was founded in 1988 in an effort to improve the quality of life in Dothan, and the Wiregrass Area. The Museum is generously supported by private donors and receives funding from the City of Dothan.

I feel a great sense of pride for having two of my works published. “Whoa, Slow Down – Applying the Constitutional Brakes to Accelerated Punitive Damages,” was published in 2004. “Should the Subjective Substantial Abuse Standard be Replaced by an Objective Means-Testing Formula?” was published in 2005.
In my free time, I really enjoy spending time in my garden or playing with my 2 German Shepards. I also love to spend a day hunting or fishing whenever I get the chance.
I became involved with the American Heart Association after sadly losing my grandfather to heart disease. It was in honor of him that I decided to run the American Heart Association’s marathon in Seattle, Washington in 2008.

I enjoy what I do and find great personal satisfaction in helping people when they need it most. – Kaz Espy
